Rules and regulations for residents

Declaration

All residents prior to admission are required to declare their possessions in terms of cash or in kind on prescribed form for record purposes.

The rules and regulations has to be acknowledged and signed by the resident.

Personal Management

Able-bodied residents are required to:

  • assist in keeping the Home and its surroundings tidy and clean,
  • assist one another in times of need, e.g. serving of meals and washing of dishes.
  • ensure no wastage of water, electricity and etc.
  • residents having relatives or friends who are willing to undertake the funeral arrangements upon their deaths would be required to indicate such arrangement on the prescribed form.

Prohibitions

Residents are prohibited from:

  • gambling in any form in the premises,
  • drinking of hard liquor,
  • smoking in the premises,
  • exhibiting of disorderly behaviour and physical fighting,
  • staying out later than 8.00 PM without permission,
  • engaging in any activities contradictory to the doctrines of the Presbyterian Church.
  • using of refrigerator and gas cooker.
  • verbal & physical abuse to other residents or staff.

General

  • The management Committee reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Home as it thinks fit.
  • The Management Committee reserves the right to discharge any resident who contravenes any of the Rules and Regulations of the Home or deem unfit to continue staying in the Home.
  • Resident is required to give 2 weeks notice if she wish to discharge from Zion Home.
